Welcome to the Food Resilient London community asset mapping project, working to prepare London’s communities in the event of an emergency or disruption affecting food access. If you work with food and support communities, we want you. Register now.
During emergencies, civil society through community organisations and faith groups often support those in need through distribution and provision of food. This project, Food Resilient London, is a project by Sustain and London Resilience and part of a wider strategy to make London more resilient against emergencies, threats and chronic risks. The project collects data on community food assets including organisations, enterprises and venues that may be involved in supporting communities with food access in an emergency or major supply chain disruption event, such as those involved in Covid emergency food responses.
Registering your setting here enables borough and London-wide food emergency response leads, such as your council or food partnership, to communicate and coordinate community support with your setting in the event of a London-wide or localised emergency.
For more information on types of emergencies and circumstances which may require the use of this database, please refer to the London Risk Register. To learn more about initiatives aimed at strengthening London’s resilience, please see the London Resilience Strategy.
